Zidane Hopes He Isn’t Finished
(Soccer365.com) - Retiring France star Zinedine Zidane will miss their final group match against Togo, but is praying that his teammates can secure advancement so he can take the field again.
The playmaker picked up his second booking of the first round against South Korea.
"I will be suspended against Togo, just like in 1998 against Paraguay," Zizou told Canal+, referring to their championship run of eight years ago. "I hope it will happen the same way."
"We will suffer until the end, but we want to go further for the ones who support us."
