Calciopoli Verdict: Juve, Fiorentina, Lazio Demoted; Milan Out of Champions League
(Goal.com) - Three of the four Serie A clubs under investigation for match-fixing have been demoted to Serie B for next season, and the fourth will start with negative points in Serie A next season.
Juventus were hit hardest, having their Scudetto titles for winning Serie A the past two seasons stripped. The Old Lady also was demoted to Serie B and will begin the upcoming season with -30 points.
Fiorentina and Lazio also have been demoted to Serie B. Fiorentina will begin the upcoming seasonwith -12 points, while Lazio will begin with -7 points.
AC Milan avoided demotion, but they will begin the upcoming season with -15 points.
None of these four clubs will be eligible to play in the Champions League or UEFA Cup this season, and they have three days to file an appeal with the Federal Court.
No Scudetto titles will be awarded retroactively for the 2004/05 and 2005/06 Serie A seasons won by Juventus.

as usual juventus gets away with it,serie B is too lineant, after all the crap all the other honest teams went through. Watching the games it was so obvious Juventus was favored, and they had the players so they would have done well anyway.but this is the only way Inter can now win the scudetto.

there's only one team in Italy, AS ROMA,the best fans in the world,if it wasn't for Juventus chaeting they would have at least three more championships.

It's tru now maybe Inter can win the scudetto,as long as Roma & palermo let her, what a shame that Juventus with 8 players in the world cup final is where it belongs, but serie B is still not punishment enough, just think of all the dreams & hopes they took away from players and fans,Wow the favoritism for Juventus was so obvious!

It appears the real people being punished by the relegations and points deductions are the fans and players who are innocent. The correct punishment would have been to have banned all those involved from football for life and to charge them in the criminal courts.

Yes it's true the real dissapointment is that the fans suffer, the league won't be the same,as winning the scudetto without Juventus,Milan(15 ponits deduction)ist's not the same. The players and fans should not suffer but the involved teams definitely yes, somehow everyone seem to have known, but it happened anyway.

I think the italian football ferderation were
faviouriting AC Milan it wasn't fair that Juve got relegated and 30 points deducted but AC Milan stayed in the serie A and got European Football they should all got similar penalties but if the evidence was steronger a heavier punishment.
FORZA JUVE
