Celtic Draw Thrills Parkhurst

(Soccer365.com) - In the aftermath of a spirited draw with Scottish champs Celtic, New England defender Michael Parkhurst exclaimed that his was a great day for the players, the team and the fans.

Rocco Quinn put the Hoops ahead on 80 minutes, but the Revs rallied for a last gasp Ryan Latham equalizer.

"It's an honor to play against those guys," Parkhurst told MLSNet. "We just went out there and tried to play hard."

"I think everybody got a little bit of playing time and it was good."

"It was real intense," he stated. "Both teams wanted to go out there and prove something."

"We wanted to prove that we could play with them – they're in preseason and getting ready for a long season, so they wanted to have a good performance."
