Del Piero's Moment Of Revenge
(Goal.com) - Alex Del Piero took advantage of today’s press-conference to hit-back at his critics.
“People have distorted reality incredibly when talking about me and judging my performances. Some said that I wasn’t even half a player,” said the Juventus idol, who scored Italy’s second goal against Germany on the stroke of the final whistle.
“With regards to Sunday I will try to take advantage of the the space that is given to me. It is not easy to come onto the pitch and score. It would be something extraordinary if I had more time available,” he added.
Pinturicchio then some what surprisingly revealed he believes Les Blues are favorites to lift the World Cup.
“France are favorites. They arrive with less stress at this appointment. But Sunday is Sunday, and therefore anything can happen. The final appears to be a fantastic confronatation, with incredible players, Zizou on top of them all. It is the best final possible, for what was seen in the World Cup,” he said.
Del Piero concluded with a possibly underground parting shot at his former coach, sometimes friend, more than sometimes foe, Fabio Capello.
“Capello to Real? I wasn’t surprised for one bit,” he said.

I think Italia will win this time, as they always seem to be a bridesmaid, but never a bride. It has been a long time coming, and they are due! And also with the rankings, all of the powerhouses are out, and Italia who was ranked low is still in.

ALESSANDRO DEL PIERO!!!!!!!!!
They should of put him as a starter from the beginning! He aint no newby and he can handle the pressure unlike Luca Toni (no offense).. even though he was teh leading scorer of the Italian Serie A, but still my man Alessandro has been playing for Italia for years and he knows how much it means to be a world champ!!! and take his country to the top!!
FORZA ITALIA!!!

GOOD EVENING,
I'm very impressed by all these technical well-advised comments and, since I'm no football expert, I will just give my advice as an "étiquette" observer: Zidane is on his farewell tour and, as the kind man all the great players say he is, he felt his duty to say goodbye to his closest career companions: So he had to let his friends beat Togo on his birthday for he wanted to say goodbye to his friend Raul, then beat Spain to be able to greet Ronaldo, Brazil to last meet Figo, and Portugal to shake hands with Del Piero: Finally he must beat Italy to say his farewells to the beauty he long has fancied: MS WORLDCUP herself!

we are at the last moment of the world cup, and everyone is waiting for a great "match" between les bleus. anything can happen for Italy and France have proved that the have great players.
both team have grest interest to defend; Italy need a 4th title to be next to the great Brazil and France need a 2nd title.
moreever the final today will be good for Zizou it will also good for Del Piero.
the only thing to say about this suprizing final is Allez les Bleus.
