Nesta A No-Go For WC Final
(Soccer365.com) - Italy team physicians have given key defender Alessandro Nesta the thumbs down for Sunday’s World Cup 2006 final against France.
"He's definitely not available," announced Dr. Enrico Castellacci.
It is the third straight time that Nesta, who suffered a groin setback against the Czech Republic, has missed time due to injury in a World Cup.
Marco Materazzi is expected to retain his semifinal place next to Fabio Cannavaro for the title match.

Nesta is a great player who would not choose to miss time if he could, especially in a World Cup final. I have no doubt that he was hurt enough that he could not play.
