Rapids Satisfied By Gutsy Win
(Soccer365.com) - Colorado coach Fernando Clavijo was proud of the determination shown by his side in a slim win over Houston on Wednesday night.
The Rapids stayed unbeaten at home since April thanks to a first half Nicolas Hernandez tally, but the boss was also willing to salute their defense for shutting down Brian Ching & Co.
"It was a physical game," Clavijo told MLSNet. "We knew that's how it was going to be."
"That is how Houston plays," he explained. "They are very direct and they battle, they battle for every ball."
"I think we made them pay when it counted and we defended well. "
