Ronaldo Shrugging Off Critics

(Soccer365.com) - Brazil strike ace Ronaldo believes that observers back home have been too dramatic over their World Cup 2006 campaign, which ended with a quarterfinal loss to France.

"I've seen and heard the criticism, and it all seems very exaggerated," he told reporters. "Our performance was below expectations."

"We just have to accept it," add Ronaldo. "I think it's too much to look for a culprit for our elimination."

"Brazil won't win every Cup, even though we're the best team in the world."

well i think ronaldo is rigth not everything is going to be glory is soccer u can be the best team in the world but that doesn't mean u will win every game, they did look like a highschool team for a second but they did what they can, what they have to do i think is play like the old brazil with more passes more move more brazil not like they did. thay play like one of those team's from europe, but good luck for the next cup, we all going to be with u brazil, from the uss kitty hawk cv-63 the US navy. thank u.

what ronaldo need to do is lose some weight. The reason they lost was because the coach depended on the old dogs like cufe, emerson, and rabort carlos. The coach should have let young players started. That have been said, i hope they play like old brazil in the feature.

yea ronaldo is rite brazil dint play the way they should ths timme i wish they wn the world cup again ...I WISH!!

ronaldo can becume like before if he looses sum weight!!

What is with this weight issue? He had three goals this world cup and became the all time leading goal scorer. You can blame it on ronaldo, but where was ronaldinho, or adriano this world cup. If anything we should be talking about how poorly they played instead of Ronaldo, he did his job.

Brazil ....(Might) have been the best team in the world, but not in 2006. How FIFA can rank them number #1 after the world cup is beyond logic as the world cup was created to determine who is the best in the world & now it comes down to the ugly head of sports politics that rears it's ugly head. It's a slap in the face to all the national teams that went further than Brazil in this world cup. Brazil being ranked number #1 is just not fair.

Once again, Ronaldinho or Adriano were limited because of the coaches' instructions.
During the first or second game when Ronaldinho started doing his things and the public getting excited, Pareira called him on the side and told him to play for the team and not for the public; Ronaldinho laughed but was mad at the coach because the coach did not trust him as the two-time best player of the world, the winner, the best.
Afterwards, he never kept the ball to create, he just threw it whenever he got it. Afterwards, what was he doing under Roberto Carlos' zone when his place is in the middle to create and be the magician that he was in 2002? Pareira killed the world cup by killing Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho is too obedient though. He should just ignore that old-fashioned system and call for the ball. He just disappeared.

Our widnedg song was we only just begun by the Carpenters. I had two other songs picked out but they played only one. Best Wishes!
