Czech Farewell Chokes Up Nedved
(Soccer365.com) - Longtime Czech Republic star Pavel Nedved admitted that his emotions threatened to get the better of him as he made his last international appearance on Wednesday night.
The Juventus ace worked the first half of a 3-1 loss to Serbia & Montenegro, finishing his Czech career with 18 goals in 90 caps.
"All my football career came in front of my eyes, from the early start, everything I lived through in this team," said Nedved. "It was difficult to concentrate on the game, it was more about the emotions."
"I was always very proud to play in the national team."
