Ellinger: We’re Road Warriors Now
(Soccer365.com) - Real Salt Lake coach John Ellinger was struck by their reversal of fortune after rallying to defeat hosts Columbus 2-1 on Wednesday night.
"Last year, we didn't win a road game and this year we've won four," he noted. "We've won more on the road than we've won at home."
The visitors got late strikes from Chris Klein and Carey Talley to climb away from the Western cellar.
"You want to play well and play exciting soccer, but sometimes you just have to get over the hump and win ugly," reasoned Ellinger. "We weren't impressive in the first half, but the second half we did a much better job."
