Albelda: Aragones Not To Blame
(Soccer365.com) - Spain midfielder David Albelda believes the players are overly consumed by club affiliations, which he says cannot be blamed on coach Luis Aragones.
The Iberians stand fifth in Group E ahead of an October Euro2008 qualifer at Sweden.
"Whether Luis Aragones is there or not, it will be very difficult to achieve anything because there is no unity," the Valencia star told Spanish radio. "In fact, it more like disunity."
"The players and the fans are disillusioned," offered Albelda. "The fans identify more with their clubs, as do the players."
