Arena: Schopp To Shine Next Year
(Soccer365.com) - Red Bulls coach Bruce Arena has tipped recent acquisition Markus Schopp to pay big dividends when next season rolls around.
The former Austria ace made his MLS debut with a second half appearance in New York’s Wednesday loss at New England.
"I thought he showed that he is going to be a quality player," Arena told MLSNet. "However, we realize this year that it is going to be hard to get him to a point were he is going to play 90 minutes."
"He's a player that we think next year is going to be important for us," he added. "We're obviously going to try and get as much out of him as we can this year."
