Ayala: I Am Ready For Return

(Soccer365.com) - Valencia defender Roberto Ayala says he is prepared to begin his seventh season with the Mestalla club, effectively ending his holdout.

The Argentina star was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, Manchester United and Villarreal over the summer.

"I am not worried by my quotes in the last few weeks," said Ayala, who once claimed he was finished in the Valencia shirt. "Life takes many twists and turns, but for now I am only interested in the present."

"I want to win the coach's confidence to play."

"I took my time to decide whether to stay in Valencia or not," said Ayala. "Now I am 100% committed to Valencia because I am a total professional."
