Makaay Hails Van Bommel Capture
(Soccer365.com) - Bayern Munich forward Roy Makaay is making no secret of his happiness at the summer arrival of countryman Mark van Bommel from Barcelona.
“We really need a guy like him as we had no one who rushes forward coming from behind,” said the Flying Dutchman. “He does it in a different way than Ballack does.”
“Mark is a great passer too and I believe that us strikers will therefore have more space up front,” offered Makaay.
"To me, his signature is the signal that Bayern is ready to challenge for something big and not only in the Bundesliga.”
