Oliveira: I’ll Make My Name
(Soccer365.com) - New AC Milan striker Ricardo Oliveira says he has no qualms about accepting the #7 shirt formerly worn by San Siro legend Andriy Shevchenko.
"Then they explained to me it was Sheva's and I've insisted that I take it," said the Real Betis transplant in Gazzetta dello Sport. "What is the problem?"
"I have a big respect for Shevchenko, who wrote big history at Milan, but I'm here to write my own history."
"I know I'll need time to be at the top, but I came to Milan to play, to score and to win," declared Oliveira. "With hard work, I'll do it."
"Milan for me are a big challenge and an opportunity."
