Pizarro Glad To Break Italy Jinx

(Soccer365.com) - Bayern Munich striker Claudio Pizarro was quite proud to have taken part in the team’s slump-buster against Champions League foe Inter Milan on Wednesday night.

The Bavarians had not won in Italy over their last seven tries.

"We are very happy because we've made a piece of history," Pizarro told uefa.com. "The team hasn't won here for along time and I'm very happy because it's important to stay top of the group."

"It was a very tough, physical match, but we kept trying to play football and stuck to our game plan, which was to pass the ball and take our chances."
