Ankle Knock Sidelines Beasley
(Soccer365.com) - After struggling back from a preseason injury, Manchester City midfielder DaMarcus Beasley is now battling an ankle setback.
The American Abroad, on loan from PSV Eindhoven, picked up the problem during Tuesday Reserves victory over Wigan Athletic.
A scan showed minimal ligament damage and the club are hopeful for a quick recovery.
Beasley has featured twice off the bench for City this season, including a weekend rally draw against U.S. teammate Tim Howard and Everton.

Beasley just can't seem to stay healthy against physical competition. It's sad to see. I wish he'd get back to the form he had when he was starting Champions League matches for PSV a couple years ago.

Very true. It really is too bad. Beasley has been so consistently injured the past year or two that he hasn't even been able to play enough to see if he can regain his form. He's so quick that he gets taken down a lot, and he's so slight of build that he doesn't withstand those challenges very well.
It doesn't bode well for his time at City. If he cannot get consistent minutes, they'll have no reason to extend his stay and he'll go back to PSV where he's already lost favor.
