Ronaldinho: "I’m Not A Machine"
(Goal.com) - Ronaldinho has opened up on his critics in an interview published today in the Catalan newspaper 'El Periódico De Catalunya'. The number 10 affirmed that he’s human, that when Barcelona really needs him he won’t let the club or the fans down and that with every passing day he feels more at home at Barça and in Barcelona.
"I’m not a machine. Nobody is. I’m also not worried as some have suggested. Why should I be? I’m doing my best to give my all for the team, the club and the fans, but I’m only human and have ups and downs like everybody else”, he explained. “I’ve still got the same hunger as last season and, although it’s difficult, I’m aiming to win every single trophy that we’re playing for.”
The Gaúcho was also perplexed at why Barcelona’s performances this year are being slammed so hard. "We don’t suffer as much as we did before. There are people who refuse to accept that we’ve got our ideas even clearer than before. At times it seems like we win without too much effort, but we have shown that we’re capable of reversing an initial disadvantage.”
He did, however, leave a caveat. "That’s not saying that we’ve reached perfection, of course not. There are always ways in which we can improve as individuals and as a team”, he stressed. Ronaldinho also cleared up the rumours about a possible AC Milan offer. "I feel at home at Barça and there’s nothing that I could want for. I’m really happy that people want me to stay here, and there’s no other club that could offer me the happiness I feel at Barça."

i think 1st of all u shd try and appreciate what he is capable of doing.if he didn't perform up to expectation than we shd relise that he is just a human being like everyone else and everyone has off days.By writing he shd fix his teeth does not prove anything or justify anything. So stop writing trash. He is not over rated but is already rated as #1 player of the world-not once but twice.
Go Brasil

He is good and is at least at the club level very consistent and he may be one of the top but he is not the top because he had all the help in the wc n still didn't step up

Who wouldn't want Ronaldinho on your team? He's fun to watch even when he's not at top form. And he's always a person that the opposing defense must worry about...so he makes others better.
Robbie, your posts make me laugh sometimes and I know you're always being kinda silly...but that last one was borderline racists. Don't go completely bananas on us.

I think Ronaldinho is the best player in the world right now. i said it yes i said it. He knows the game,he play with his head and he knows how to play with others. He always past the ball on time. this guy create his on moves. he doesn't need to touch the ball. His presence is enough. Has soon as you have Ronaldinho in the you knew that you have a team. stop talking trash

This time Mr. Quaid I have to agree with you on 2 things. The first is that Ronaldinho is way over-rated. Yes he is talented but by no means could he be the best in the world. There are better players, not many, but there are. The second thing I agree with is that Brazil is lucky they didn't meet the Italians. The World Champions would have eaten them alive. That overconfident group of Brazilians didn't have a chance at winning right from the start.

ronaldinho is definetly the best, yeah brazil didn't play good against france but that doesn't mean it was all ronaldinho's fault. go brazil
Posted by: no name | October 8, 2006 10:37 AM
Haha yea giova! right on dude! hahah you know man and say it like it is! haha ronaldinho would not be able to hang against italy defense just like he would not hang playing club soccer in england haha! yea! haha!

why criticize people for what they do in the past but for what they are doing in the present and what they will do in the future ronaldinho is very talented and will be a very strong player as he gainsmore experience thats what a lot of great players have that are the best like you said zidane and france beat them by how a penalty cheap i tell you and what he does after to embarreses himself in front of the world a player with that much experience shouldn't of done that.ronaldinho can keep his cool he just has fun and that is the whole point of the game in the first place.Sure we are here to win but it's not so bad to lose every once in a while you know. You would never say that to a proessional player no matter who they are!!So grow up and give some respect to one of the best players in this world today.
