Arena Wants New York Dynasty
(Soccer365.com) - Red Bulls coach Bruce Arena says not only does he want to lead an MLS destroyer, but he needs to for the sake of the game in America.
"That is the reason I came back," he told the Newark Star Ledger. "Parity doesn't bring fans to games."
"Fans want to see good teams, they want to see dynasties and they don't mind seeing teams struggle and other teams excel."
"I think that's good for sports, when you have front-runners and teams that struggle," offered Arena. That's the real animal."
"Parity is a stupid concept, I really believe that."
"Two or three dominant teams in this league will be good for the league," he asserted. "I think everyone likes chasing Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, those type of teams."
