Mancini Relieved To Top Spartak
(Soccer365.com) - Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini breathed a sigh after his team booked a slim Champions League win away to a pesky Spartak Moscow group.
A Julio Cruz strike would be all they would need to see off the Russians for the second straight time.
"It was important to win," said Mancini, who has come under early season fire. "Spartak are an excellent team and we had many worrying moments."
"We were tired and wasted a lot of scoring chances."
"We are very satisfied now," he beamed to reporters. "We won, we won away, and we won on artificial turf."
