Ronaldo: Comments Misconstrued
(Goal.com) - Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has insisted last week’s comments about Fabio Capello were misunderstood.
The Brazilian, who has recently recovered from injury, expressed frustration about his lack of first-team involvement, suggesting he didn’t know what he had to do to start a match.
He has now said: "People did not understand what I was saying.
"Capello didn't trust me because I wasn't ready to play. I now want to follow Capello's instructions to the letter so I can play. That's what I want, more than anything."
Ronaldo started in the 2-1 defeat by Celta Vigo on Sunday, before being replaced by David Beckham in the second-half.
"I am not happy. I'm not a big head. I am always unhappy when my team loses," he said.
"But I'm content because people have been able to see me play again. That's what the people want and now I just want to start scoring goals.
"I am wrecked ... wrecked. I started cramping in my legs 20 minutes after halftime and that's why I had to come off. But I'll be better for the run."
