Toure: Wenger Is Clever
(Goal.com) - Ivory Coast international Kolo Toure believes Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is playing a big role for the success of many players.
The 25-year-old defender, who recently signed a new contract with the Gunners, said Wenger’s influence in the game has helped key names with the likes of Liberia’s George Weah and Thierry Henry of France.
"Mr Wenger knows what he is doing. He is really clever. He has built so many players," explained Toure to the Daily Express.
"You see players like George Weah, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, they all come from Wenger. He helped them be where they are.”
Moreover, Toure believes that some current crop of players with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Philippe Senderos and himself all have great potentials under Wenger as they continue to excel in their career.
"He is helping us now as well, players like me, Cesc Fabregas, Philippe Senderos, all the young players at Arsenal. It's a dream of us to play for this great club.
"It is always difficult to get into a big club like this and when you are really young like us, it is even more difficult.
"I am one of the oldest now at 25. Some of them here are just 18 and they are doing really well.
"When he sees a player, he knows what they can do. You feel like a family member. You can joke, play together. It's fantastic."
