Zidane: I’d Coach Bangladesh
(Soccer365.com) - Former France superstar Zinedine told a crowd on his goodwill tour to Bangladesh that he would like to coach the national team one day.
"I’m bowled over with the enthusiasm of all the people here," Zidane said in Dacca.
"I’m not interested in making a return to the field, but I would be interested in coaching Bangladesh some time in the future."
The midfield wizard holds most major world honors in his trophy cabinet, including winners medals from World Cup ’98, Euro2000 and the Champions League.

This would be great if it actually happens. I always admired Zidane as a player as he for the most part played at a higher level than the players that shared the pitch with him. If he does this what it proves is that he has not forgot his humble roots & he wants to give something back to the game at the grass roots level to develope the sport in poor countries. I think this is a good example for other top level professionals to follow. Everywhere Zidane goes he's loved & some might ask why is that? The answer is simple...He's one of the people!

I hope he does a s well. It's kind of funny actually if you think what happened with Zidane in the final of the world cup. It's like he's a hero & people love him more & more. At least he had the backbone to just say ... Ok! That's it! and do what he did. Guess his family means much more to him than a world cup trophy. I have to respect him for that. As for that thing he head butted. Nobody likes or feels sorry for him because he's a dirty player & a poor liar to boot!So his team one the world cup, he has his winners medal, & nobody likes him. Kind of funny actually. Go Zidane!

Nice words, but the truth is it won't happen, it's a no win situation. Bangladesh is not a team or program that can make the best use of Zidane's many talents and skills.

True, but then again we could say the same thing in regards to Klinsmann coaching the United States.

Good point Rasputin.
And Tesoro, I would argue that there it's a win-win situation. Zidane would get his first chance to prove himself as a coach. Bangledesh would get a shot of adreline from a true great.

I think this would be a fabulous achievement for both parties. Zidane will continue to improve his reputation as a wise and friendly people person and Bangladesh would get the privelage of being coached by an all time great which could seriously improve its status.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu Wamagfiratuhu Wajannnatuh!
Zidane, one of the greatest of all time (if not the greatest) coaching Bangladesh will be awesome. Zidane is already lived a lot in Bangladesh I don't know what will happen after this. I loved this guy since I was 8 (if that). I hope he does coach Bangladesh and Insha Allah he will. Not only will it be a good football era for Bangladesh it will be good experience for Zidane too.
