Massive Ban For Nedved
(Goal.com) - Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved has been handed a massive five match ban following his red card in Friday's volatile Serie B clash against Genoa.
The game ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw for Juventus, with Nedved's 71st minute opener was cancelled out just three minutes later.
The Czech saw a straight red in the dying minutes, being adjudged to have deliberately stamped on an opponent. He subsequently bad-mouthed the referee, and stamped on him as well in a fit of rage.
His efforts have now been rewarded with a five match ban, something that is certain to hit Juventus hard.
The Turin giants are currently second in Serie B behind Napoli, level on points with Bologna, whom they meet on December 19 in a crunch clash.

Good for Nedved! Can't say I blame him. Serie A has to be the worse league for a player to play in. All the matches' seem to be fixxed & the refs' all seem to be bought off. That league is like the septic tank of European club soccer. Nedved should end his playing day's in England as that's where all the top players are.

Italian Professional Club Soccer was the best! Twenty years ago! Now Serie A is a gutted ghost town. All the best players' in the world. Even the top Italian players' want to play in England. England is where the money is. The EPL is the best run & most rich league in the world hands down! You need to come back to reality! Even Cannavaro is saying he wants to play there & he's hands down the best Italian player in the world right now! So much for the once great Serie A league. Face it! Serie A can't even compare to the EPL in England :)

I read Cannavaro's interview in FourFourTwo, the soccer magazine & he indeed said he wants to go play in England. Can't say I blame him just as I can't blame him for leaving Italy for Madrid. He's a world class player & being so should play in a world class league. Italian soccer imploded on itself with all the greedy club owners. Twenty years ago you are right serie A was the best league in the world, not anymore. I think Cannavaro could hold his own just fine if he ends up playing in England. I just hope if he does go that he won't end up at Chelsea.

It was simple frustration;Nedved,Buffon, and Del Piero are class acts that's why they stuck with Juve, Serie A won't be the same without Juve.
