Schmid Plotting Big Purchase
(Soccer365.com) - Columbus Crew coach Sigi Schmid says he will try his best to find the right star to sign, using a new MLS salary rule.
The boss, currently in England with an Generation adidas team of young league players, told the Columbus Dispatch he would meet with former Crew ace Brian McBride.
"You’re always looking, always taking into account the possibilities," stated Schmid. "I think the fans have to be realistic because I don’t think we’re going to find a David Beckham or a Ronaldo, but if you find the right fit you’re going to be able to get that kind of player."
"We’re in uncharted territory, but (Crew general manager) Mark McCullers, myself and the Hunt family are willing to support the right guy."

Yeah your right, I also think he should not eat so much junk food as his belly looks like the Goodyear Blimp now.
