Wolff Signs With 1860
(Goal.com) - Josh Wolff finally will realize his dream of playing abroad.
U.S. international Josh Wolff, a veteran of two World Cups, has signed a contract to play for 2. Bundesliga side 1860 Munich. His contract begins in January, 2007, and runs until June, 2008.
The Kansas City Wizards striker is out of contract at the end of the year, so the move is a free transfer for 1860, who already boast Wolff's U.S. teammate Gregg Berhalter on the roster.
Wolff, 29, began his professional career in 1998 with the Chicago Fire, scoring over 30 goals and helping the club win a domestic double the same year, winning the MLS Cup and US Open Cup tournaments.
After five years with Chicago, Wolff was traded in 2003 to Kansas City, where he collected 27 goals and 20 assists in four seasons. Wolff has earned 48 caps for the United States, tallying nine goals.

I'm happy for him too.....but if the MLS wants to blossom they need to bring in players ,not lose them.

That's great for Josh. Congrats to him...he deserves to go play overseas. It's unfortunate that MLS is losing quality players, but maybe this league will get to be known for the good players they produce.
