Ajax Need To Change - Jaakke
(Soccer365.com) - In a declaration sure to rile his critics firther, Ajax chairman John Jaakke has suggested the club move away from their traditional 4-3-3 formation.
The club have struggled to succeed with their brand of Total Football, often drawing or losing games they appear to dominate.
"Dogmatic adherence to recipes from the past is a weakness," he told Het Parool. "Football has changed, but because of past glory, we have insufficiently recognized the consequences (of change)."
"The 4-3-3 is not holy, certainly not when we fail to scout and train the players needed for the system."

Ajax has to be one of my alltime favorite club teams! They have now some very good players so I can't figure out what the problem is. All teams hit slumps as it's life. Maybe with a few changes in starting line ups they can get back on track.
