Barça Consider Keeping Saviola
(Soccer365.com) - Despite having Argentina ace Javier Saviola on the market for nearly two years, Barcelona vice president Txiki Begiristain admits the club are considering ways to re-sign the striker.
The Little Rabbit won a UEFA Cup during last season’s loan spell with Sevilla, and he has also been loaned out to Monaco.
Now back with Barça, Saviola’s goal form is making the board reconsider his worth – but the player will still need to agree to a bit of wage cut.
"There is a line between economic and sporting policies," explained Begiristain. "Saviola is playing very well, and his attitude is fantastic."
"He is doing very well, and that is a great argument," noted the executive. "However, things can change, as there are two parties involved in a negotiation."
