Beckham Hits Back At Calderon
(Goal.com) - David Beckham has reportedly blasted back at Ramon Calderon for the comments made by the Real Madrid president this week.
Following the England midfielder’s move to LA Galaxy last week, Calderon said Beckham "will be an average cinema actor living in Hollywood" and claimed he only moved to America because no other club wanted him.
Calderon was unhappy that Beckham agreed to join LA Galaxy without informing the club first.
Beckham is now quoted as saying: "You told the fans that I had already got a house in Los Angeles.
"That is not true. That's a lie. You have treated me with a lack of respect.
"My team-mates will always have my respect, but you never will now."
It remains to be seen whether Beckham will see out the rest of the season at the Bernabeu where he may get few or no first-team opportunities under coach Fabio Capello.

Get over it Beckham you washed up old sod! You were an average player at best & that's being very kind to say so. Beckham is the one that held out on talks with Real Madrid all the time knowing he was going to Los Angeles as it's the only place he can play. Speaking of Los Angeles & the MLS I'm willing to bet it won't be a bed of roses for old washed up Beckham. Beckham has always been injury prone & he will get lot's of that in the MLS since the majority of the players there all have two left feet. I hope they break his chicken legs! So don't cry Beckham! You got your money & lot's of little ten year old girls to come to the games to worship you like a fake God! Go cry to Tom Cruise! You two have a lot in common! Your a couple of clowns!

That's all we need in America! Another ugly English limey like Beckham! I'm glad I dont live in Los Angeles. It's a perfect place for Beckham as it's full of freaks!

I completely agree with Calderon. Beckham chose LA over any other team in ther US because he wants to be close to where the celebrities are. His soccer (football) career has taken back seat to his celebrity integrity. He is way out of his prime and that's why he settled in the US because he is not good enough to play any where else.

i'm gonna agree with rohith. You can't possibly say beckham was an average player considering that he won the champions league, numerous premiership titles, as well as a couple fa cups. I don't care who you are, thats resume of a great player

Jealousy is a terrible thing and pure and simple that's all we're talking about;Beckham made a career move. Real Madrid is toooo star-laden to need beckham's ample skills. The MLS wants him and needs him, the fans will flock to stadiums now and many will stay. Given Beckham's star power and thinking of his future LA was the perfect situation, I'm not mad at him,I would have done the same thing too.

i would play anywhere for that kind of money; i would join a league in antarctica if they had one. becks made the best move, no club in europe is going to pay that much and not only is beckham boosting his image in america, he is bringing much needed attention to the mls. if all goes well, hopefully this move will give the mls a more prestigous recognition as more players from europe will consider a move to the states (as some already are). sure, becks isn't in his prime but people need to stop being such negative nancies and deal with the fact that, while beckham's move is heavily criticized and surrounded by almost too much attention, it can still mean big things for the growth of amercian soccer.
