Chelsea Set To Land Ben-Haim
(Goal.com) - Bolton's Tal Ben-Haim is set to make a £2 million switch to Stamford Bridge.
The Israeli international has entered the final six months of his contract with Bolton, and has shown no intention of penning an extension.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce admitted recently that he was resigned to losing his centre-half on a Bosman in the summer. However, he had suggested that he would be keeping Ben-Haim at the club until then.
It now appears that Chelsea's £2 million offer for him is making them consider letting him go as soon as this month.
Ben Haim's father, Emmanuel, suggested as much to Daily Mail.
"There are advanced negotiations between the clubs," he said. "We are hoping that Tal will be moving to Chelsea in the next week."
With doubts over Terry's return to full fitness, Mourinho - who is being handed some money to strengthen his defence - is said to want him on board as soon as possible. Chelsea take on Liverpool at Anfield over the weekend.
