Clark Aims To Grab USMNT Chance
(Soccer365.com) - Houston Dynamo midfield ace Ricardo Clark is currently trying to make inroads with the U.S. National Team, an effort he punctuated with a strong friendly performance against Denmark.
"It was a chance to get out there and prove myself," he told the Houston Chronicle. "I'm not really a regular on the national team, so I'm just trying to get my foot in the door."
The MLS champ won the penalty that led to the ‘Nats equalizer, part of a showing he hopes will get him into the squad for a February 7th Mexico friendly.
"I'm not even sure who exactly is coming into camp," admitted Clark.
"(U.S. coach Bob) Bradley's probably going to screen a lot of the European-based players prior to the camp, and that's going to make fighting for a spot even more difficult."

The national team needs players like Clark,Adu and Eddie Johnson to play serious minutes to actually compete with upper tier teams. I hope the national team is listening.
