Crew Leaning Towards Home Camps
(Soccer365.com) - Columbus coach Sigi Schmid says the team aren’t likely to do any preseason training outside of America this season.
The Crew traveled many miles before last term, and the boss feels it had a draining effect in the latter parts of the schedule.
"Last year, it was very important to get (quality) games," coach Sigi Schmid said. "This year, I think we need to find the right mix of games and training times."
"There’s a chance we might not make an overseas trip."

Sigi is not into making trips outside the country now as in other countries it's hard to find a taco bell or burger king so he can add to his ever expanding buddha belly

Ah Yes !!! I cannot for the life of me see how any team owner would hire Sigi to run the show as he's the worse coach out there. Think about it. How can any group of players look at that bloated carcass & get inspired?

Sigi is a prime example of everything that is wrong with American soccer. I remember Sigi from the old days of American soccer in Torrance, California back in the 60's & 70's. He couldn't make it as a player in AYSO so he attempted to bust down the door with his gut as a coach. Go back to AYSO Sigi & learn to play before thinking about coaching.
