Dempsey Relieved To Join Fulham
(Soccer365.com) - Fulham signing Clint Dempsey admitted it was load off his mind after the UK Home Office granted him the work permit that allowed his transfer from the New England Revolution to take place.
A positive appeal hearing lets the U.S. star hop the pond on a deal that could be worth as much as $4 million to MLS.
“I’m real happy that everything has been sorted out regarding the work permit and I can’t wait to get started training with the guys,” Dempsey told the club website.
“It’s been an ambition of mine to come to England and play in the Premiership,” added Dempsey.
“I’m excited that I’ve been given the opportunity to do that, and look forward to helping Fulham with their future campaigns.”
