Eboue Targeting United Match

(Goal.com) - Arsenal's Ivorian right-back, Emmanuel Eboue, could give the club a big boost ahead of the weekend's looming showdown with Premiership pace-setters Manchester United.

Eboue says he hopes to recover from his ankle injury in time for the crunch visit of the Red Devils.

The pacy defender's injury originally flared up before Christmas - and recurred during the Gunners' 3-1 FA Cup Third Round victory over Liverpool on 6 January.

"I've been injured since the Portsmouth game and when I trained I still felt it a bit," Eboue told the club's website.

"But I hope to be back for Manchester United. I really, really want to play."
