I’m No Coach , Asserts Totti
(Soccer365.com) - AS Roma talisman Francesco Totti would like to stay in the game after he retires several years from now, but made it clear he knows his personality is wrong for a manager.
"My contract runs out in 2011, but soon I would like to extend it for another two or three years," he told Italian magazine Number 10. "As long as I am fit I will play on as long as possible."
"When I stop playing we will see what happens," continued Totti.
"I want to stay in football as a director, but never as a coach - it's not in my DNA."

Yes, we all know that, & according to Paolo Di Canio Totti is also not the smartest person in the world.

You know Trym I read this information in FourFourTwo magazine in the Di Canio interview. He said Totti is so stupid he could not point out the Middle East on a map! Di Canio is something else man! Pretty funny guy!

Well I guess the joke is on Di canio,he's playing in the third division and Totti is a world champ and his team is in second place and in the cahmpions league.Uhm I wonder who is laughing?

TNT
What I respect about Di Canio is he's very honest which is a breath of fresh air in this world we live in. Di Canio was not making a comment about Totti's ability as a player, rather he was stating Totti is not the smartest person in the world. Regardless Di Canio has nothing to prove as a player. More important I think it's a safe bet to say Di Canio is a million times better of a player than you could ever hope to be so go back to your weekend pickup games in your local park you loser!

How did I get sucked in to this controversey? Anyways aside from your uncalled for comments, heres my opinion on this article. It's no secret that Totti is no Albert Einstein. He admits this when he states that he does not have the DNA makeup to be a coach. But boy can he kick a ball. He's on fire right now in serie A, he's a God in Rome where he grew up and is a world cup champion. Oh, and his wife is smoking hot. Do you really think he would have the fire and hunger to be a coach even if he was smarter. I don't think so either.

Your name was not even mentioned in any of the above post but as usual you inject yourself into other peoples conversation as if what you have to say has any meaning or true value. Now that you have been put in your place & regulated back to your computer football game I must say Di Canio is my hero! He was a very good & popular player when he played in England & the English public loved him because he's a good guy! Most important he's a facist & anybody that has the balls to give a facist salute in the middle of a crowded stadium is ok in my book! FIFA should give Di Canio an award for being the most honest player with his personal beliefs! He's the real deal!

Totti's a good player & he's on form but then again he's playing in Italy so it's easier for him. I'm sure if he was playing in England right now he would be having a very difficult time. In Serie A it's easy to perdict. Italian soccer is all about Tactics & waiting for the right moment so it gives forwards much more breathing space. However in England the game is played at a mad pace & forwards have to deal with defenders that mark them much much tighter. Look at the one player from Italy that is somewhat of a tough enforcer for the national team & the club team he plays for in Italy. Materazzi. When he was in England it was he that was pushed around, not the other way around. He's back in Italy because he couldn't cut in in England. It's like that for a lot of players that come from various parts of Europe & South America. They get to England & choke. England not only has the richest league in the world. It's also the most tough to play in. Players from other countries find out very quick that in England the style & pace of the English game doesn't adjust to them. They have to adjust to the English game if they home to surive.

I love the EPL and the passion from the league. Its very exciting to watch the teams battle for physical superiority.
However, I do not believe it is the best league. I feel that La Liga is the best league in the world, closely followed by Serie A.
These leagues have produced more UEFA CL winners and won more World and Euro Cups than the EPL. The best players in the world play in these 2 leagues. European Player of the Year, World Player of the Year, they do not typically come from the EPL.
Once more I want to state I like watching EPL because there is more action and money. But the league is not the best.

You guys are all out your minds. Italy's league is by far the most professional in Europe. Why does everyone aspire to play there?

all of u talkin bout di canio he is a stupid fascist and nobody likes him! totti is THE BEST player in the world and all the premier league stars would not stand a chance against him when he is on good form!!!!!

Normally Romanista the best players in the world perform and do well and normally their teams dont get crushed 7-1. Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world rite now. The way he has been playing is simply electrifying. Totti hasnt done anything for a while.
