Ronaldo Deal Not Today-Galliani
(Goal.com) - AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has confirmed the deal bringing Brazilian super-star Ronaldo to Italy is still on hold.
“Ronaldo won’t arrive today,” Galliani told reporters on Wednesday morning.
“I met once again with Real Madrid’s sports director Franco Baldini. The talks are ongoing, we will talk again soon,” he added.
Baldini arrived in Milan last night to negotatiate with the Milan management.
This is a step forward in the deal, as until yesterday AC Milan only had the player’s ok, while they hadn’t even begun talks with Real.
Real Madrid are currently asking for 8 million Euros to let the player go, however Milan would like to only take over the player’s salary, with the Spanish outfit releasing the player for free.

Ronaldo is past it & he's washed up. He can't hang with playing in Italy he would get chewed up & spat out there. He looks like a human slug out there on the field & looks like he eat's all his meal at the make shift junk food deli at am/pm mini mart. Milan could do much better signing a somewhat younger more talented player that is minus the ever expanding waist line that Tubbo Ronnie has.

Madrid would be doing themselves a huge favor by unloading this worthless pile of flesh but I pray he wont end up in Italy as Chubby Ronnie is simply not good enough to play in Italy. He's more suited to go join other European league failures like Beckham in that poor excuse of a Football league in America the MLS.

Speaking of screw up's Sheva should also be sent packing to go play kick the ball & chase it in the worse league in the world with the worse players' in the world the MLS.

You left out Frank Lampard. He should be given his walking papers as well & sent to the MLS. I'm sure his friend Becks & Tom Cruise could find him a no talent team to play on in that sad excuse of a football league.

I need to get my shots in on this topic as well. What about Ronaldo's ugly twin Roberto Carlos? He sure needs to be on this road to nowhere list of ready for the rest home & hollywood players. Carlos is very very very past his prime & the only differience between Carlos & Ronaldo is Ronaldo is uglier & with his teeth he could be a zombie in a remake of Day of the Dead.

all these guys you mentioned need a change of scenery. every one of them is capable of scoring a gazillion goals in the right situation. I think milan would be good for ronaldo and milan, even though I don't particularily like him that much--as a person. I'm happy for Sheva, he got what he deserves.

I did read that Chicago Fire tried hard to get Zidane to come out of retirement. But Zizou said no.... then he headbutted them.

Yoyo you know with that huge arabic caveman head Zidane has on his sholders he can throw one mean headbutt! He flat out decked that Materazzi guy & thats saying alot since Materazzi is not a small guy at all. I'm all for headbutts and those sorts of things in soccer as it makes it more American!

He was at the game against roma but wasn't playing. I think he's excited to put on the red and black. Very intriguing.

Either way. If Ronaldo stays at Madrid. Or goes to Milan. I think this is it for him as a professional player. He's only 30 but moves like a man in his late 40's. He seems to get injured often & his mind seems to be on other things besides Football. The fire burnt out long ago. He's had hard times in Madrid & if he goes to Milan he will have hard times there as that league is just as tough to play in. As for Madrid to cut him loose is a wise move. As for Milan. They should go after younger players that have the talent & youth on their side & the drive to be the best. As for Ronaldo. He's done.

What if Milan had played with Ronaldinho and Pato wide? Madrid's fcaubllks would probably still have gotten forward, and Pato might have exploited Marcelo and gotten behind him a few times. However, Milan's midfield three would have been absolutely unable to close down both Alonso and Ozil, leading to either Ozil getting space in the hole or Alonso commanding the game and spraying passes all over the field. Worst of all, Ronaldo would have had 1v1 all day vs Zambrotta. I don't think you can fault Allegri if his alternate formation would have likely led to catastrophe as well. Milan didn't have the free players needed to dominate possession, nor did they have the athleticism to play at Madrid's pace. Madrid had a simple out ball to a fullback, or a more ambitious pass to Ronaldo, on the assumption that he would pull some skill or pace and get past Zambrotta. No tactic could have been adopted with Milan's entire squad to remedy both of these flaws. To his credit, Mourinho's team exploited both weaknesses in Milan's setup.
