Scudetto Race Not Over Yet, Warns Mancini
(Goal.com) - Inter notched their 14th consecutive win in Serie A on Sunday night, as the Nerazzurri defeated Sampdoria at the Marassi stadium of Genoa in the 21st matchday of the Italian topflight.
Thanks to this win, Inter maintained an 11 point lead over closest followers Roma, a gap which can virtually guarantee the Scudetto to the Nerazzurri.
However, Roberto Mancini is cautiously advicing everyone not to start celebrating as the season is still long and anything can happen.
"I think that the league is not over yet, on Sunday we have the direct clash against Roma, a team which is going through a good moment."
Mancini also commented his side's performance against the Blucerchiati.
"As soon as Delvecchio was sent off, we relaxed a bit and we became slow and predictable for half hour. Then in the final ten minutes of the first half we did better. After the goal, everything became easier."
