Wenger: Henry Halt Inevitable
(Goal.com) - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Thierry Henry should have been better protected from injury earlier in the season.
Henry recently returned to the starting line-up after an eight-match absence due to injury and apparent World Cup burn-out.
Wenger said: "It was more mental than physical. Thierry just had no resources any more.
"It is the same after every World Cup. Players who come straight out of that do not feel completely ready to go for it again.
"If they are not protected a bit then they don't survive beyond October or November and that is what happened with Thierry."
Wenger also hit out at France coach Raymond Domenech for refusing to rest Henry earlier in the season.
"I knew Thierry and William Gallas would hit the wall if they were used in friendlies," he added.
"That is why I was so angry when my players were selected for 90 minutes in the games with Bosnia and Greece."

Not a news flash,big name players are being used and abused by the national team system. France is the leading offender in this category.

Dude are you mental? Look dude you think these wimps go and play for their national team for free? They get paid for every international they suit up for with their country. These dudes are like high priced tramps man! They are in it for Da Money! If they get burnt out or injured so what! Its their choice and their problem. They just go spend all the money they make.

What are the snortg views' about VFFs. (For or against!) I've just bought some and love wearing them and also love barefoot running but feel I need some protection from sharps/cold etc.
