Cissé: I Apologized To Yepes
(Soccer365.com) - Olympique Marseille striker Djibril Cissé has insisted that he did, in fact, apologize to Paris St. Germain defender Mario Yepes after his rough challenge injured the player this weekend.
The Colombia international is now expected to be lost for the season, but Cissé felt the need to shoot down rumours he was flippant about the incident.
“I didn’t want to hurt him,” vowed Cissé. “When it happened, I didn’t think it was that serious.”
“I tried to apologize to him, but he treated me like a dog”, he asserted. “I’m not about to kneel down and ask for forgiveness as I went for the ball, not the player.”
“If PSG are claiming that I didn’t apologize, then they’re wrong.”
