Corinthians Boss Blasts Referee
(Soccer365.com) - In the aftermath of a 1-0 loss to Sao Caetano that saw three of his players ejected, Corinthians manager Emerson Leao took the card-happy whistleblower to task.
The floundering side suffered their second tight defeat of the week as Marcelo Mattos, Roger and Betao all got the gate.
"The instability was provoked by the referee's mistake," Leao blared, referring to the 24th minute ejection of Mattos for kicking a ball away in anger after a whistle.
"Players who aren't aggressive became aggressive because of him," charged the coach. "It was a lamentable episode."
