Dynamo Getting Ready For The World
(Soccer365.com) - Houston strike ace Brian Ching says the champions are aiming to excel when CONCACAF Champions Cup play opens on Wednesday, with a view to a berth in the next FIFA World Club Cup.
"It's a huge opportunity to potentially play the best teams in the world," he told the Houston Chronicle. "It's an opportunity to show what MLS is all about."
Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear knows they have their work cut out against Costa Rican foes Puntarenas FC, who are in mid-season form, but says they won’t play safe.
"Fitness will be a key," he admitted. "Our instincts will be the same: to attack."
"It's hard to tell our guys to play easy (but) it would be silly to think we can pressure them all over the field for 90 minutes."
