(Goal.com) - Samuel Eto'o returned to full training with FC Barcelona after four months and two days out with a knee injury.

The Cameroon striker's comeback has been hotly anticipated as he neared the end of his recovery after damaging his meniscus in against Werder Bremen in the Champions League in September.

After walking onto the training pitch in front of La Masia at Barça's Camp Nou ground, Eto'o warmed up before receiving a round of applause and hugs from his team-mates and the coaching staff.

Under the watchful eye of physical trainer Albert Roca, the free-scoring forward stretched before doing some strength-building exercises and some shooting practice.

Eto'o's return to the squad has been pencilled in for the game against Racing Santander on February 11.

The former Mallorca favourite netted four goals before picking up his early-season injury and has vowed to end the campaign as a the division's top scorer.
