Here To Show I'm Not Finished - Ronaldo
(Goal.com) - After being introduced by an extactic Adriano Galliani, Brazilian superstar Ronaldo presented himself with his new AC Milan jersey, and explained the reasons that made him decide to join the Rossoneri.
“Challenges are always the most important thing for me. I turned down money for the 'sporting' challenge. I turned down large offers to move to Saudi Arabia and the United States. I could even have stayed at Real but Milan offered me a new challenge and I accepted that challenge. My story has not finished yet,” the 30-year old striker told the journalist-packed room.
“There were difficult moments in the negotiations but from the moment I joined Milan I accepted this challenge. I spent five good years in Milan and I still have a lot of friends here. Then, it's a joy to play for Milan, it's a dream for any player,” he added.
Ronaldo then touched upon the delicate issue regarding his past with AC Milan city rivals Inter.
Some on the blue and black side of Italy’s fashion town believe Ronaldo once again proved to be a ‘mercenary’ and ‘traitor’, following his first ‘adios’ when he decided to leave Inter for Real Madrid in the summer of 2002.
“Of course, I expect respect from everyone, from those who were with me but are no longer there. Respect is the most important thing, my time with Inter was really wonderful but it finished badly. I was sold almost on the demand of the coach and it finished there. I am now back for a new challenge, an exciting challege, hopefully I will do really well for the fans,” he explained.
“Everyone has to take their own route, I selected the road to Milan and hopefully I will do really well for this club and the people who have welcomed me with such affection. I wish Moratti or anyone who feels offended, 'good luck' in their life. I have picked my way forward,” he added.
Ronaldo also spoke about his now former club Real Madrid, that he left mainly because of alleged frictions with coach Fabio Capello.
“I had no problems with Capello, he just didn't have faith in me, I wasn't able to play, he didn't say why and I didn't ask. It was ugly and sad,” he said.Ronaldo might debut this weekend for his new team, when AC Milan face minnows Ascoli on Sunday afternoon.

The move will give him some playing time, he was in no physical conditon to crack Real Madrid, Capello simply wanted the best for the money and he wasn't getting it. I love Ronaldo and wish him success.

I dont know about all this. It's something like an 18 month contract. With all the pasta & fantastic food in Italy I imagaine Ronnie will blow out even biger than Maradona did before he had himself gutted. Anyways Ronnie is way past his peak & on a fast downslide in his career. He's over & done with & should just fade away in a quiet manner rather than hang on like some aged bloated vegas lounge act.

Whats does Ronaldo mean he's not finished? His knees are shot. He has no pace. He cant stay focused. He has to be around 100 lbs over weight. He's lost his touch. Of course he's finished! Everyone in the soccer world knows he's done & over with. He's the only one still in the dark about it though.

I agree partially with reggie. His knees are shot he is overweight but he has md not lost his touch. Ronaldo will always have an amazing first touch and the amazing ability to finish. He will always have that no matter how old he is.

Ronaldo is done & far past his prime. If he had problems in Spain then he will have problems in Italy as the league there is just as tough. The only good thing is as he keeps adding on the blubber from too much food at least it will be from Italian food! Chowing down Italian food is worth becoming fat over! Thats why he's going to Italy! It's the great food!

FutbolFreak your wrong and so are the rest of you that bash on Ronnie he's still a good player and i think if given the chance he'll still impress like he did in this World Cup and in the last. Ronaldo can still dance and you'll see it in Italy

He impressed us in the WC? oh yeah i forgot he did! Not! he sucked dude. He couldnt even run up and down the field. Yeah he got a couple of goals and that proves wat i said before. He still has a great touch and finish, but he doesnt have any speed anymore.

Question : Whats more sad to look at than Ronaldo huff & puff up & down the pitch?
Answer : TiNo & RcFutbolFreak argue back & fourth about a washed up walking waterbed like Ronaldo! Thats what!

my prediction is this: for the rest of the serie a season Ronaldo will score no less than 12 goals. The date today is February 6, 2006.

There's dftniieely some truth in that statement about the midfield potentially becoming exposed should the forwards press. But this might be alleviated by selecting a second combative midfielder (Boateng) ahead of Seedorf to accompany Gattuso and Pirlo.
