Ibarra Demands “Friendly” Win
(Soccer365.com) - Boca Juniors defender Hugo Ibarra has urged his teammates to dispose of arch nemesis River Plate in the Retaliation Cup, the final preseason match the league schedule kicks off.
"Although we don’t think of this match as a retaliation, nobody wants to lose, and less so in a superderby,” he told the club website. “That’s why we think that if we do things well and play a great game we can win.”
“We want to turn in a great performance so as to retain our poise, because that is what we are looking for: to try to find the kind of soccer we need to start off in the local tournament and the Libertadores Cup with the wind blowing in our favor.”
