Lupoli Turned Down Arsenal Deal
(Goal.com) - New Fiorentina purchase Arturo Lupoli reveals he declined an extension offer from Arsenal.
Arturo Lupoli, who currently plays on loan for Derby County, signed a 5-year contract on Monday with Fiorentina and will make his return to Italy in July.
In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 19 years old forward said The Gunners offered a new contract which he refused to accept.
“Arsenal offered me an important contract extension but I turned it down. Besides Fiorentina, there were other clubs such as Inter Milan, AC Milan, Udinese, Napoli and Valencia who were interested in signing me.”, said Lupoli.
He also specified why he chose to join the Viola: “In the end I chose Fiorentina because Florence is an alluring city. The club decided to invest in young players and has important projects in prospect.”
Arturo Lupoli was member of Parma’s youth team before he embarked on his Premier League experience in the summer of 2004. Months ago he expressed his desire to return to Italy.

I had read that A.Lupoli and Giuseppe Rossi are two very talented players, both from the Parma youth club, one went to Arsenal, the other to Manchester U,Rossi is on loan to an italian team(don't remember who)and now Lupoli signde with fiorentina? good move he'll have a chance to shine there, Mutu & Toni are there, but it's not star-packed like Inter,Juve,Milan or Roma,he'll play.
