Rodriguez To Bow Out At Copa
(Soccer365.com) - Uruguay star Dario Rodriguez has announced that he will put away his La Celeste shirt after competing at this summer’s Copa América in Venezuela.
The Schalke 04 wingback, who has scored in successive World Cups for Uruguay, did add that he could return later in a technical staff role with the team.
"I have decided to end my international duty after the Copa América," he stated. "After the Copa América, I will not play for Uruguay anymore.
"Then I would like to continue my career in a Uruguayan team, but first I have to finish my contract at Schalke that expires in 2008."
