Sarachan Hushes Zizou Rumours
(Soccer365.com) - Chicago coach Dave Sarachan has poured cold water on speculation that the MLS side have gone back in for retired France superstar Zinedine Zidane.
The team recently made an approach looking to use the designated player rule that brought David Beckham to Los Angeles, but were turned away.
"I find it unbelievable," Sarachan told the Chicago Tribune. "Where does this stuff come from? As far as I know, there hasn't been any more contact."
Beyond that, the Fire boss admitted he would certainly be willing to include an interested Zidane in his line-up.
"(I) have no idea if he still wants to play," said Sarachan. "If you did want to play somewhere where you could have a life, maybe the United States would be the best option."

Now this is interesting! Can you imagine Zidane playing in the Chucky Cheese League of soccer the MLS? He would have a field day playing in America & the best part everybody would forget all about David Becky Cruise Beckham! I'm also pretty sure of another thing. I dont think we would see in American players taking any cheap fouls on old Zidane. We all know he throws a mean headbutt so I think he would have the run of the field & would do what he wants!

Yeah I know Zidane has a very bad temper. I really dont think it would matter if other players in the league treated him with respect & left him alone I think he would still end up putting a headbutt on somebody. Man! I would pay four times the asking price on a ticket just to see that. Have him throw one on Beckham or Donovan now that would be really great!

I think Zidane would be great in the Usa. Imagine how much money he would make for Vince McMahon in the WWE. Really, can you imagine Zidane on Monday Night Raw going "head to head" with John Cena or somebody?

As interesting as it would be, it's not going to happen. The next time you see Zidane near the pitch, he'll be wearing a suit and standing in the coach's box somewhere.

Actually, my brother works for the Corporate office of the Chicago Fire. He told me that John Guppy is actually in talks with Zidane about a possible move to Chicago for a pretty hefty chunk of change. Niether the coaching staff nor the media is being given much information because it is not 100% of an agreement yet. But it is a very possible chance that he agrees to a contract. I hope the offices in Chicago dont read what im posting because its not really supposed to get out. So my brother wont lose his job, My name isnt really Caddy O'shea.

I heard about that Chicago Fire-Zidane rumor about a month ago. A friend of mine that is in the chicago fire acadamy told me, but i that it was just a rumor because i hadnt heard any talk about it. I hope Zidane signs, it will make the league a whole lot more interesting to watch.

Ooh, rumors. Like Fox Mulder's UFO poster says, "I want to believe." It would be bigger for the MLS than Beckham. But I won't believe until I see it.

who cares about over-rated Beckham and the head butt heard around the world Zidane coming to America. MLS should start importing some real name players. More south Amaerican players who's care about the game and not the money that they are getting. this big thing about Beckham playing in the US is retarded. i still won't see a game only because he is playing. he sucks. just face it. he has done nothing but look pretty over his career. I would see Crespo play then Beckham any day.

If they want some real class in the American league they should bloody well dig up Georgie Best. They could thaw him out & he would be smashing! Dig up the other bloke too from the Eastern Block Puskas! He's another lad fond of the drink. These two would make a good combo up front for any club & they could be paid in drinks!

Hey Jetson, whats wronf with you? Are you sick in the head? Dig up two dead bodies to have them play soccer? Wow, how old are you...11,12. And on the zidane topic, no one's bubble is bursting here. If zidane is coming to mls, then why has he planned a trip to chicago. Why dont you check real News web sites under the sports section, or try watching the news, or even reading the paper. Its gonna happen

And when the league is overloaded with over priced high dollar bafoons it will crash just like the old NASL. Just like that old saying, history always repeats itself.

Best & Puskas have not been dead that long. Both are still ripe just a little thawing out would do it then they would be ready to play & since they both loved to drink in their past lives it would be a bargain pay packet wise for any clubs that would pick them up. Just feed them lots of drinks & both these guys would score truck loads of goals!
