Ching: Kinnear Set Us Straight

(Soccer365.com) - Houston strike ace Brian Ching says a halftime pep talk compelled the team to score two second half goals to beat esteemed CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal visitors Pachuca on Thursday night.

Dominic Kinnear brought his charges in after a staid opening period and apparently peeled a little paint.

"The first half, we didn't come out and play," the U.S. international told the Houston Chronicle. "They're a good team, and I think we gave them a little bit too much respect; we sat back and played timid."

"At halftime, Dom said, 'You guys are a good team; let's go after them' - and we did."
