Johnston Brings Welsh Aboard
(Soccer365.com) - Toronto FC coach Mo Johnston says eh finally glad to clinch a deal for Sunderland winger Andy Welsh this wekend.
The Englishman will now compete for a job on the left side of midfield for the expansion team.
"It was on, it was off," Johnston told the Globe & Mail of some protracted talks. "Sunderland were great, they allowed him to come over."
"It's been resolved and we're very happy in having a 24-year old coming to join us."
