Olsen Plays Up Border Rivalry
(Soccer365.com) - Fresh from a series opening draw against CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal foe CD Guadalajara, D.C. United midfielder Ben Olsen says this match-up is one the American team desperately wants to win.
Aside from the obvious of gaining entrance to the final, the U.S. international wants to wave the Star and Stripes.
"I don't care if it's the national team or club sides, when Mexico and the U.S. play each other, it's always a rivalry," Olsen told the Washington Post. "They want to beat us pretty bad and we always want to continue pushing U.S. soccer, whether that's the club game or the national team."
"It's going to be a huge challenge for us to get a good result."
