Arena Wants More From Altidore
(Soccer365.com) - Though certainly pleased with a sharp Josmer Altidore goal on the turn to beat Houston this weekend, New York coach Bruce Arena says the sky is the limit for the teen phenom.
The boss was impressed with his touch-and-fire that lifted the 10-man Red Bulls over the reigning champs, but didn’t want to make it seem like big deal.
"I'm sure he's a pretty confident kid anyway," Arena cracked to MLSNet. "Obviously, anytime forwards score goals they have confidence."
"He has a long way to go," he insisted. "He's not yet established as a player."
"There are a lot of areas that he needs to get better, he knows that."
